R. Darden Bradshaw

R. Darden Bradshaw is a fiber artist and Associate Professor of Art Education and Area Coordinator for Art Education in the Department of Art & Design at the University of Dayton.  She holds both a PhD in Art History and Education and an MFA in Fiber Art from the University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ.  Darden’s academic scholarship focuses on art integration, empathy development through arts, visual journaling, and the training of preservice teachers.  Darden works primarily with fiber-based media of wet and needle-felting, quilting and tapestry, through which she develops work that comments on the relationship of memory and experience as connected to place in which time exerts an ever-present push and pull. She has exhibited her work regionally and nationally and has works in private collections in Tucson, AZ; San Francisco, CA; Washington, D.C.; and Melbourne, Australia.
